About Natasha

Let’s Reach Your Goals Together !

Namaste, I am Natasha Mehta, and I believe that Grace enabled me to be here, and I am learning every day. Having to take charge of life’s responsibilities in early childhood and seeing my one parent struggle with a critical Mental Illness led to a search for purpose in life. I questioned what are the higher emotions and resources accessible to me as a human that can help on the journey.
Through sincere seeking and spiritual efforts, I understood I was being guided in every aspect of life, including my career path. My education, Inner calling, and conscious approach as a mental health professional led me to become a skilled therapist and a charismatic orator. It is my life’s mission to serve, heal & educate, and for this reason, I founded Positive Therapy. With professional expertise and an attitude of servitude, I have advocated for mental health and wellness for over 16 years and will continue to do so. Innately, I am an intuitive and compassionate psychotherapist equipped with a Master’s in Psychology and counseling, among several other concomitant specializations in therapies such as Rational Emotional behavioral Therapy (REBT), Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Yoga, and Mindfulness, to name a few.
Having experienced post-traumatic stress in adulthood, I know what it’s like to feel when something is dysregulated and not know where to turn. I am here to help build awareness with deep trust that there is support always available. Life is a beautiful opportunity to evolve, which may not seem easy at all times but can be made simple.

I firmly believe that peace of mind or pieces of mind is an individual choice and fortunately for us abundant tools are available within the body intelligence waiting to be unlocked.

My body of work entails a powerful eclectic blend of Western and Eastern psychological approaches. Individualized Intervention Plans (IIP) are curated and tailored case-wise and have helped empower thousands of individuals and families across my years of practice.

I work closely with individuals, families, children, adults, and couples. For over fifteen years, I have provided counseling support for a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, suicidal ideation, OCD, socio-emotional difficulties (such as self-esteem, grief, bereavement, and emotional regulation), personality disorders as well as neurological and developmental conditions like autism, global developmental delay, and ADHD.

Along with individual sessions, workshops, training, lectures, and group therapies at various organizations, I am involved diligently in social causes with a motive to reform the face of mental health in today’s society.

I have been recognized for my peace-based conflict management approach and threat mitigation skills as a mental health professional.

I was recently invited as a speaker by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to deliver a workshop on basic counseling skills for faculty and students.

Adding meaning to life, I enjoy facilitating meditation circles and singing Sufi songs, devotional music, chants & gazals, I model mindful living and am an avid traveler, trekker, devout of the mighty Himalayas, and a loving friend of the animal kingdom.

I am currently serving as the Wellness Counsellor at IIM Mumbai, Wellness Instructor at IIT Bombay, and the School Counsellor at Stellar World School, along with my private practice online and offline.

Philosophy & approach to Mental Health Counseling

Harnessing Your Potential

The whole is greater than some of its parts and viewing each person as a whole being is an essential first step in facilitating therapy.

My work weaves together the science of Western psychology and the timeless wisdom of the East. Guided by the belief that every individual is inherently whole and complete

It is important to collaborate with those who are in therapy to help gain awareness of the connections between their physical experiences, breath, emotions, thoughts, and spiritual understandings, and thus my body of work entails a powerful eclectic blend of tools from the Western and Eastern psychological approaches. My practice is grounded in the idea that everyone is inherently motivated toward achieving positive psychological functioning and has the capacity for growth & self-actualization. Congruence, unconditional positive regard, and accurate empathic understanding are the attributes I live by as a psychologist. When we carefully meet people where they are, people feel safe to drop their natural defenses, allowing them to freely express their feelings and direct their self-exploration as they see fit, and this definitely turns the key!
